I am so sorry. No one on this planet will ever trust America again.

I do feel compelled to point out that Trump 1.0 negotiated the withdrawal from Afghanistan and betrayed our Afghan allies (along with the Kurds), just as he is now betraying Ukraine and NATO.

I guess Biden could have reneged on the agreement (because it appears now that anything goes), but America was Screaming for an end to the war and that may well have gotten us Trump in 2016 who would have slammed the door even sooner.

Miller, Bannon, Hesgeth and the other Christian Nationalists hate our muslim brothers and sisters. They don't just chalk it up to the cost of political deal making, they REVEL in the pain they cause, as justified by an angry, racist God who rewards them for hurting the "right" people.

If there is an organization to which we can donate to help those in need please post - I will spread the word. Again...I"m so sorry.

I do feel compelled to state that I was in Afghanistan during the withdrawal and have repeatedly said the same thing over and over again. We're all to blame for Afghanistan.

I understand you were in Afghanistan and that we who are civilians cannot possibly understand the depth of the past and current trauma. GCV authors compelling writing gives us a small window, and from that you all have my massive respect and compassion.

Indeed we all are to blame.

But Trump 1.0 seems to get minimized in the criticism of many reporters - that was my only point.

He told who he was. Yet, here we are. Fair and square.
