I haven’t written much about politics other than to take the occasional cheap shot at Joe Biden.
Nevertheless, I’ve been paying close attention to everything the Trump administration is doing. I have to hand it to him: he’s doing an excellent job of pushing executive power past any previous limits. That’s the thing about President Trump: he’s been underestimated and counted out his entire life.
How’d that work out for everyone?
I’ve never voted for President Trump, and I don’t need to recite all the reasons why. Please, Google is your friend. Nevertheless, I’m the type of writer to sit back and observe the first 100 days or so.
So, after nearly 100 days in office, here’s the only thing that matters: Will President Trump seek a 3rd term?
Every other question fades in significance. Some of Trump’s actions can be undone. However, the harm to the liberal international economic order is irreversible. Farewell to it all, folks. Apologies! Elections have consequences.
So, where am I currently on the only question that matters: not great, Bob. I started around 5% chance. I’m now at 20%. As
is fond of saying, would you get on a plane with a 20% chance to crash?President Trump is slowly accelerating his assault on “the deep state.” With Elon Musk on the precipice of dominating America’s intelligence community, the prospects of domestic surveillance have markedly increased. Does anyone think that Kash Patel will not order domestic surveillance on Trump’s political enemies?
