Howdy,
I’ve finally returned from Zion. Great trip. More to follow tomorrow.
I’m in KCMO and was about to pass out into a sweet nap when I saw the news.
President Joe Biden will not seek re-election.
Bravo, Mr. President, bravo.
I don’t like you. I never will. Every time I see you, I see my dead Afghan friends. Your dishonorable conduct in Afghanistan led to unspeakable trauma. You abandoned our Afghan allies on the battlefield and have made peace with their killers. The killers who raped, murdered, and tortured my friends—and killed 5,000 Americans.
However, you have the right to be wrong. Regardless, I applaud your momentous decision. You deserve to be praised.
I did not think you would do it. I was wrong.
I am conservative. I’m a neocon, to be precise. I’m a full-throated Zionist who loves the 2nd Amendment. You will never take my AR-15 from my hands.
But the country comes first—always first. I voted for HRC and Biden and would’ve hated voting for him again. It hurt me to vote for him.
Alas, the Dems have a chance to go after a very vulnerable Donald Trump. They acted like the responsible party, something the GOP failed to do repeatedly.
I will never be a Democrat. But I’m happy to be anti-Trump.

Biden has also decided to support Kamala Harris for President. Good.
It’s her turn. Let her be the first female president.
Ma’dam Vice President, it’s your turn.
Will, I love you and your work, brother! I too am upset with Trump about the John McCain statement..words do matter. However, Biden's actions mattered a hell of a lot more! As the voting debate goes both ways, letting one statement by a politician be your deciding factor is short-sighted in my opinion.
Now we have our first DEI candidate who "has been unburdened by what has been," yet has nothing to show for it...zero. My concern is, if elected, how she will suddenly become a strong, effective and internationally respected leader of the free world. By its nature, the office does provide some of that but after 4 years, there is no indication she's harnessed any of it as the Vice. Scary times indeed...
I would never ask someone to reconsider their personal choice as it's one of the many great freedoms our country provides. Consider this my journal entry for the day, I just had to get my thoughts out of my head.
Miss you, dude!
Concur. I am a center-right Ind. who used to be a Rep. (until they all drank the kool-aid & turned stupid) and am also a Never-Trumper and was from the start. Anybody who follows & supports Trump is IMHO a gullible rube (like all those people in my home state of WV). Kamala has some work to do to prove herself publicly and I think in this situation, the VP nominee is going to have outsize importance. I believe the best choice would be (one of the senators from my current state) AZ Sen. Mark Kelly, veteran Navy combat pilot, astronaut, moderate D, & very popular in the important swing state of AZ.
