Can European Authorities Prevent Radical Terrorism with Putin Next Door?

On July 29, 2024, in the United Kingdom, three young girls were stabbed to death and ten others injured by a terrorist named Axel Rudakubana. This took place at a Taylor Swift-themed dance workshop at a dance studio in Southport called the Hart Space. Two girls died at the scene, and a third the following day, while eight children and two adults were injured, six children and the two adults in critical condition.

One link between Rudakubana and my earlier article about Iraq is that ricin is among the poisons that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi reportedly had laboratories to produce in Herat, Afghanistan, before the U.S. invasion, and that he was later establishing labs to create in Iraqi Kurdistan. I am uncertain if this manual was assembled under Zarqawi's supervision. It is concerning that British authorities did not become aware of and prevent Rudakubana while he was in the midst of this effort.
