Will, this was a perfectly written picture. There was only one wrong word. Atta will take his place among us, not alongside us.

My immigrant ancestors arrived in Pennsylvania between 1703 and ending in 1847. The Webers arrived in 1717.

Atta has the character to stand among them. He's a great addition to our team.

I’ll be waiting to hear and praying all the while. I hope your dream of getting him here comes true and that his dream of being in America comes true. I hope you are able one day to return to Afghanistan. Until next time. Keep writing and sharing. I can only imagine how meaningful this is to him and you. Bless all those who were helpful to this point.

I never cease to be amazed at all of your stories. Just when I think I have heard them all there is always another. Sometimes it scares me and I am certain it was for the better that I did not know some of those at the time. When I look back at all of the photos of this particular deployment you describe in this article, I remember at the time examining every detail of every photo. I was always struck back then by how happy you looked and that happiness still comes through in this article. You did your share and more for the good of the combat cause, knocked down some doors, firefights etc., but your main contribution was your deep understanding of their community, translated into your mission actions, role modeling, and analysis of situations for the mission. I'd put you up beside any commander and intel analyst in the whole military. Someday I hope you can return. In the meantime I am incredibly proud and happy for your bringing another partner out. I hope this country can live up to what we owe him.
