You, sir, have excellent taste in writers. Were I to make a list, it would have included 4 of your 5, the exception being Mr. Roggio, but only because I am unfamiliar with his work.
And after some thought, I believe I would have to increase the length of my list, as I could not exclude Elliot Ackerman, Rick Atkinson (his WWII trilogy is the best IMHO), Dan Hampton, & Sebastian Junger. I would read anything by any of those guys.
