Hey everyone!
Remember last week I wrote about my sister Taiba’s website, www.hercraft.art? Well, it’s time to say that the project launch was a success! It’s going strong, and I just have to share some exciting updates!
For those who might have missed it, HerCraft is all about helping Afghan girls get the education they deserve. The money from selling the beautiful crafts they make gets shared between the girls, Taiba (because it’s her project), and yep, even a little to me! Why me? Because I’ve written about it and helped get the word out. Pretty cool, huh? 😊
Here’s a quick reminder of how it works: Afghan girls make the crafts and send them to Dubai. From there, they get shipped here to the U.S. Once they arrive, people can order online or buy them at events we go to.
Here’s the exciting part—over Thanksgiving break, when we didn’t have school for four days, Taiba made $400! That’s $100 each day! 🎉 Those first customers are so special because they remind us to keep going, keep working hard, and keep saying, “Afghan girls deserve better!” Every dollar gives us hope—not just me and Taiba, but also the Afghan girls who put their hearts into these crafts. It’s proof that people still care and want to make a difference.
If you haven’t had a chance to look at this cool project, please visit www.hercraft.art and order a beautiful piece of Afghan art made by some talented Afghan girls’ artisans, into your home.
With lots of love💕
