Wow wading into the waters of crafting a running ticket. I'm impressed..... I do like bold thinkers so good for you'll....And I do love Duckworth a veteran with a stellar record and a lovely human. I'm convinced that we need more veterans in politics...they are team players, leaders and trained analysts .....I'm underwhelmed by Harris but there's no other quick way for Dems to fill a ticket practically speaking. I would love to see a Kate K & WIll Selber ticket some day. That's a winning presidential ticket for sure.
I’m a supporter of this idea as a dream ticket. Biden would indeed have to throw his full support behind it. Will that happen? Nobody knows today.
What is more worrisome than another four years of chump? Lifetime chump presidency. I do not believe he would ever leave unless his corpse was carried out the door. That scares the crap out of me.
What worries the most is another 4 years will not be the end of Trump. He refused to leave last time and nothing will stop him if he is back in the WH. I am sure some “legal scholars” will find something and Thomas and Alito will be fine by that.

I agree with you that Biden should step aside and the natural successor is Kamala Harris. Duckworth would be a great pick for VP. I do believe that Biden’s presidency has been a success - by any measure. What disappoints me is that he is (almost) as guilty as Trump of an over inflated ego. “Only Biden can beat Trump.” Really? I am afraid the guardrails will not hold and another Trump presidency will be a disaster. Biden can cement his legacy as a patriot, consensus builder and a good person by stepping down.
I’m in on this idea of Kamala and Duckworth - but I don’t think it will happen. I think Biden is too stubborn to stand aside. If he would get behind Kamala and really give her his full support it would go a long way in mending his mistakes. I think if we don’t change the Democratic ticket we will have another disastrous 4 years of Trump. If necessary and like Will, I’ll hold my nose and vote for Biden.
I really admire Tammy Duckworth and get almost teary eyed every time I read her story. She is a real hero and patriot. However, American voters are not exactly deep thinkers and a double amputee may be a turnoff, plus endless gaslighting on why she is disqualified for not being a natural born citizen. I know she is natural born just like Ted Cruz is, but the grotesque attacks on her will be relentless. The GOP is also excellent at denigrating disabled veterans, just look at what they did to Max Clelland. If we are venturing to fantasy politics territory, I would want a Harris/Kinzinger ticket.
