A new tradition: every week, I post my favorite Substack article upfront.
The Return of Comedy?
For those of us who didn’t vote for President Trump, it’s sometimes hard to find silver linings. However, as an Iraq and Afghan war veteran, I’m the KING of finding silver lining—imagine if I couldn’t find silver linings
So, let’s look on the bright side! I think some of the wokest of the woke’s utter bullshit will be swept away, and we can—inshallah!—return to fucking laughing at one another! Everyone, take a deep breath or a deep rip of some pot, and turn on some comedy—and laugh! Below are the list of comedians I always turned to in Iraq and Afghanistan when friends of mine were killed.
TL;DR: You can’t change the election’s outcome, so enjoy your life.
George Carlin - Nobody pissed more people off on both sides than the greatest of all time, George Carlin. Fun fact, according to Wikipedia (if this bothers you, move along):
Carlin joined the U.S. Air Force and was trained as a radar technician. He was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana, and began working as a DJ at radio station KJOE in nearby Shreveport in July 1956.[22][23] Called an "unproductive airman" by his superiors, he received a general discharge on July 29, 1957. During his time in the Air Force, he was court-martialed three times and received many nonjudicial punishments and reprimands.[24]
This makes Amn Carlin a legendary Airman and possibly America’s original grumpy veteran.
David Chappell -I knew the Left had lost its mind when they started protesting—checks notes—Dave Chappell because he dared to push back on #MeToo & LGBTQIA+++++. People don’t seem to understand that comedians are supposed to offend your delicate sensibilities—that’s the entire point! They find our hypocrisies and point them out for all of us to laugh at and to remind us: stop taking yourself so goddamn seriously.
Lisa Lampanelli: Between deployments to Afghanistan, I saw Ms. Lampanelli in Austin, TX. I raised my hand when she asked if anyone in the audience was in the military. She then asked where I was stationed. I told her, “I’m back on R&R from Afghanistan.” She asked which service I was in, and after I informed her that I was in the Air Force, she replied, “Well, what are you complaining about? Is the AC too cold?”
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. BUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRNNNNNN!
Norm MacDonald: Most people don’t understand Norm’s incredible comedic talent because it’s so deadpan and he gives no thought to your delicate sensibilities. Yes, he will make fun of O.J. Simpson-all day, every day. Legend!
Chris Rock - I grew up watching Chris Rock. He’s irreverent and incredibly hilarious. He also took a shot from Will Smith and didn’t let it ruin the night. That, my friends, is grit. My reaction to getting slapped in the face on national television, to say the very least, would not have been so graceful.
Here’s the thing: Will Smith is a punk ass bitch. Bruh, if you don’t want to be made fun of, then maybe don’t talk about your OPEN SEX LIFE TO THE PRESS, MORON!

I will take a long road trip over the next month, so the production may be a little wonky. But don’t worry; I’ll still be writing, and we will be crushing it as usual.
Until Next Time.
"Clayton Bigsby" is the greatest spoof-type comedy I've ever seen. Followed by the "Schmitt's Gay" commercial with Sandler and Farley on SNL in the 90's. George Carlin is the greatest comedian ever, the same as Hendrix is the greatest guitarist. They're both gone and nobody is allowed to argue any more.
George Carlin #1 always
