Dear Democrats - Stop Trying to Turn Texas Blue
Some Tough Love

I love Democrats. I truly do. God bless me; I voted for HRC, Biden, and Harris!

While I’m a double hater, my mother is a professor of social work, so, you know, I’ve been raised in such politics my entire adult life. More on that in future missives.
While I loathe Joe Biden (cue zombie apocalyptic music), I didn’t mind Kamala Harris; God bless her soul. I thought she did an admirable job trying to correct a locomotive barreling toward disaster. She will have another act in American life. So, you know, don’t weep too loudly for our first female vice president.
Where was I? Oh yes, the Democrats are currently with me in the political wilderness because we got our collective asses kicked about six months ago. It’s okay to say it.
I know it’s hard. But we lost! And, bruh, it wasn’t even close!
So, unlike what we did after Afghanistan, let’s begin with some points we should all agree on in this year of our Lord 2025: Stop wasting money trying to turn Texas blue.
1994
Who remembers 1994?
I do! I do! I do!
The last time a Democrat won a statewide office in Texas, I was 16 years old. Yep, you read that correctly. That’s how old I was in 1994.
But let’s check in on how Dems did in Texas in 2024:
Not great, Bob.
The last Texas Democratic Governor was—one of my all-time favorite Texas politicians—Ann Richards.
Ever since Richards ran into W, these are the clowns DC has sent to us:
And these are just the top two from a long list of failed attempts by DC to jumpstart someone into national stardom while leaving all Democrats in the state to fend for themselves.
But this trend continues to this day!
Perhaps these comments helped Congresswoman Crockett secure some funding from much-needed donors; who knows? But in the year of our Lord 2025, maybe all Texas Democrats need to get on the same sheet of music and stop torching themselves for the sake of the national spotlight.
And if you want to get old school, then let us never forget what DC Democrats did to President George W Bush, who was incredibly popular across Texas during his tenure.
And now, how does everyone feel?
Because Progressives still don’t mind pissing on Texas from a great height with their sneering condescending attitude that has created a hostile environment for Democrats state-wide.

TL;DR: Austin isn’t Texas, just like DC isn’t the United States. In fact, Austin is filled with California transplants, and they brought the same problems from California.
Yeah here in Oklahoma as an old woman I am still personally one molecule away from being an honorary SDS Weatherman. My dad hated that as we were living in a college town at the time after he retired. But I hate the sneering too with all of my heart and soul and every bone in my body. My friends come from all walks and I don't give anyone shit for what they think. That's a YP. I am polite and obey the law. Period. Every time I see that smug fuck Maher with a big cigar I wish it would fucking explode. Or Rogan the armchair expert making a killing off his pie hole. Fuck people who do not even care to analytically look at the complexity of the country, its history and its people. Moronic. Superficial. It's the goddamn TV factor, the 15 minutes quest and all. Although I do believe some are 100% sincere when they go on but are just not factoring in the backlash to the appearance of dictating. They are not thinking about the whole just the parts IMHO. And all the while people just forget that all we are asking for is folks to tell the truth, uphold their oath to the constitution and uphold the rule of law so that we can all live together here in peace. I am only speaking for myself. I want all of us to be able to be with our family and friends for the short time we are alive. Many thanks for speaking the hard truth. I read everything you write. This shit is unbearable. I hope I live to see that travesty of a leader rogue elephant felled. And for people to get behind the country as a whole. p.s. I am uneducated and just a nobody and a nothing but I did grow up the daughter of a USAF lifer and we had to pack up and move every two years...and I had to worry my ass off as a kid that he would come back from Viet Nam (twice) and rescue me from my depressed mom. Like her depressed mom who had to worry when her son went into the service at 19 to serve in WWII. Have a wonderful weekend in the Capitol! Send pics!
