The notoriously fickle American Electorate has voted for T. Rump - it is what it is. I qualified on the range with M1 Carbine and .45 Automatic Pistol during abbreviated Basic Training at Warner Robbins AFB in 1965 as a Civil Air Patrol cadet headed for the Air Force under General LeMay and my loyalty remains to the Constitution of the United States - not to any political party and certainly not to any politician. This is likely to change as T. Rump intends to replace the current officer corps with compliant personnel who will do whatever he commands. How the military decides will likely determine whether the United States continues to have national security protected by a capable defense establishment - or not. In our case I hope we will not witness our National Guard deployed against disloyal (to the new administration) American citizens - we shall see if Kent State will be repeated. We live in interesting times.

How can Dems get back in the game? How can Democrats break through the red wall of the right-wing media disinformation system? I think there is a way. Read about it:

“Biden’s entire failed presidency”seems a bit harsh. I’m far from a policy expert but consider myself a fairly good judge of character (especially in comparison to Trump). I don’t choose to ignore personality. He earned the vote of many of my friends. The voters have indeed spoken. My main problem with Biden is the Afghanistan withdrawal - a stain on our country forever. I also think he should have not run for the office a second time. Common people are suffering - I’m one of them. Life choices often determine our futures. I don’t think Biden caused it and certainly Trump is not going to fix it. I don’t see Trump being president is going to help those in need. I dread the deportation tactics. I dread changes for those with medical needs. I dread the rising cost of goods due to tariffs. Changes are in order but the pace and uncertainty is scary. This is about as conflicting as I get so don’t come after me. It will not be a fair match. I’m going to hang with Kate not give up just yet. Your writings make me think. It’s your gift. Keep writing. Until next time.

Afghanistan. Russia invaded Ukraine, the biggest killing of Jews since the Holocaust, inflation, and the border. Those are five huge mistakes that would kill anyone's presidency. All of his domestic & foreign policy achievements pale compared to his achievements. He's a failed president. And history will judge him harshly for not getting out of the race. His vanity was his downfall.
